Mentoring Students in Research

As a researcher and an educator, one of my most important goals is in mentoring and training the next generation in the processes of science.  As a graduate student, I have had the opportunity to mentor undergraduates interested in geoscience education research.  This involved not only the data collection and data analysis portions, but through the entire presentation and publication process.  I am eager and excited to mentor both undergraduate graduate students in my field of geoscience education research both in expanding my existing lines of research as well as following student interest in developing new research questions.

Additionally, my broad training across the geosciences allows me to mentor and oversee undergraduate students in research in fields including environmental geochemistry and biogeochemistry, paleobiology and paleoecology,  sedimentology and stratigraphy, and geomorphology and landscape evolution.
