My Research

My research primarily concerns the development of systems thinking in undergraduate geoscience courses.  I apply both quantitative and qualitative methodologies to understand how systems thinking is currently taught in the geosciences as well as to develop tools to better measure students' system thinking abilities as they relate to the Earth.
